MEDITATIONS ON MID-LIFE

A modern cross between a Greek Ionic style frieze and an Instagram carousel, Meditations on Mid-Life is a tile collection that plays with notions of fertility and mortality, beauty and decay, abundance and left-overs. The work is meant to be viewed as an ongoing story, with contrasting images juxtaposed. A response to doomscrolling, the work asks the viewer to interpret the connections between the images and draw their own conclusions about the nature of bite-sized narratives and modern storytelling.
